Eclisse is a table lamp designed by the Italian designer Vico Magistretti in 1965 for the Italian company Artemide .
Symbol of Italian design in the world. Compasso d'oro in 1967 is now part of the permanent collection of the Triennale Design Museum in Milan and the MoMA in New York.
It is a table lamp, with direct or diffused light, also designed for wall installation, essentially made up of 3 hemispheres: base, fixed external cap and mobile internal cap.
This structure allows the user to darken the light source as he pleases and therefore to regulate its luminous flux; if the light source is completely covered, only the outer glow remains, reminiscent of a total eclipse.
Today the metal body is available in new PVD colors.
