The idea behind the creation of the Daphine lamp is as simple as it is effective: an adjustable diffuser, an arm articulated in two segments and an electromechanical transformer on a cylindrical base between two metal caps.
The Daphine was born from the design philosophy of Tommaso Cimini , "A lot of light, a little lamp", which is still the essence of every product that bears the name of Lumina , the company he founded in 1980.
45 years later, the Daphine undoubtedly deserves the status of "icon of lighting design".
Over the years it has entered the collections of the world's leading design and contemporary art museums, including the Brooklyn Museum and the Judd Foundation in New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Neue Sammlung in Munich and the Milan Triennale. .
The Daphine is currently available in the LED version, in which the electromechanical transformer has given way to electronics which guarantee greater luminous power, very high color quality, low working temperature and lower energy consumption.
The LED version (3,000K or 2,700K) can be set to dual light intensity or dimmable.
Controlled by a switch that can be set in mode: on/half light/off or continuous dimmer.
